15 mins-Mussels in Spicy Salsa Tomato Sauce
This 15 minutes mussels in spicy Salsa tomato sauce dinner will delight your palate. My kids love seafood, and mussels are kind of fun to eat. The funny thing is every time there is leftover mussels you will only see empty shells in the fridge and I always know the culprit! Last night was a fun night with my daughter. We’ve got the house to ourselves, play sims, watched movies over a bowl full of mussels.
Ingredients
1lb of mussels (scrubbed, de-bearded, rinsed, and cleaned)
1 cup of hot salsa (pureed)
2cloves of garlic
1 bay leaf
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions

In a pan on medium heat, add the pureed hot salsa, garlic bay leaf, salt pepper.

Let is a cook for 5 minutes.

Add the clean mussels, cover and let it cook for 5 minutes until all mussels are open.

Remove and transfer to a serving plate, discard all unopened mussels.
