Plain Kombucha (Fermented tea)
Ideally a finished Kombucha should have a PH below 3.0. This will help make sure that the kombucha is free of mold and all pathogens. You can purchase your SCOBY here
Ingredients
1 Kombucha Culture or kombucha SCOBY.
1 CUP – Kombucha starter
1 CUP – Organic Cane Sugar
1 – Growing glass jar
6 green tea bags
15 CUPS spring water
1 clean breathable kitchen towel
1 – Rubber band to secure the kitchen towel over the kombucha brewing jar
1 – Teapot

Boil 15 cups of water

Brew the green tea bags with the 14cups of hot water in the glass jar for about 15mn

Add the cane sugar into the hot tea and let it dissolve completely

Let the green tea solution cool down

Add the starter kombucha and the scoby to the tea

Cover with your breathable kitchen towel and secure with the rubber band.

Place in a well ventilated place, make sure it is a bit warm (preferably in your kitchen

On day 6 gently taste your tea. – If it is sour to your taste, you will need to bottle immediately and keep it in the refrigerator.
– If it too sweet to your taste, allow to brew for up to 10days.
