Natural Lime or lemon Honey Syrup
This Natural Lime Honey Syrup is my kids new favorite sweetener for tea. You can use lemon for this also.Check here for recipe video. I love the flavor and the sweet-tart taste of this syrup. You can keep this mixture in a tight container in a fridged for up to 10days. I noticed the pretty green color of the lime skin started fading after about 8days, and it doesn’t look pretty! When use lemon the fading skin color doesn’t show that much.
You can use this mixture as a seasoning in your recipe, not just for tea. It can be use as addition to chicken wing seasonning. It is really good for fruit salads. What you need for this recipe is:
- 3 big limes/lemon
- 1/2 cup of raw honey
- A glass jar with lid.
All you need to do is to slice your limes or lemons. Arrange the fruit slices in the glass jar. Add the honey gently until the citrus fruit slices are well immersed. Let it infused for about 6hours before start using it. Please note that once well infused, the liquid become a bit watery. It is ok, that is how it is supposed to be.
