Papaya, coconut water and mint smoothie
A great smoothie for digestive cleansing. If you love papaya then this is a smoothie for you.
Health benefit of papaya.
Papaya is a tropical fruit full of antioxidants, vitamins A, C, E. It tastes sweet and edible ripe or unripe. There are multiple variety like Kapaho, Waimanolo, Higgins, Wilder, Hortus gold, Honey gold, Bettina, Sunnybank, Guinea gold, Coorg honeydew, Washington.
The papain and enzyme in papaya helps break down the protein in muscle meat, that is the reason papaya is used as meat tenderizer. The chymopapain and papain enzyme helps with digestion and fight inflammation. The seeds contains in papaya are also edible. Because papaya is high in antioxidant it helps prevent heart disease.
For this smoothie, I did not add the papaya seeds but fill free to add couple seed for extra health benefits.
