Simple Fried Cream Cheese Wontons
These simple fried cream cheese won-tons is a crowd pleaser. It is so easy and it is my son’s favorite appetizer. I am not sure where these wontons originated, but I sure fall in love with them. It was love at first bite the first time I tasted. The rest was history. I started making it at home with all kind of fillings. My kids prefer plain cream cheese wontons. My son quickly started making it. I will make batches and freeze it and they will reheat it in the air fryer. It is good to do homemade when possible so you can control ingredients.
Ingredients
1 pack of 8 oz cream cheese at room temperature
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 tablespoon of honey
1 teaspoon of finely chopped chive
1 pack of Wontons wrap
Oil for deep frying
Instructions
1
Mix cream cheese, paprika, honey, chive really well.
2
On your working surface, lay out the wonton wrapper
3
Drop about 1 tablespoon of cream cheese mixture on the center of the wonton wrapper
4
Dab the edges of the wrapper with water
5
The easiest fold is to make a triangle first, then bring closer the opposite ends of the 3D triangle.
6
You can do better shapes if you are feeling artistic.
7
Heat up your frying oil and deep fry your Rangoon in a small batch
8
Remove when golden or crispy
9
Serve warm or at room temperature

Crab…nowhere in the recipe does it mention crab except for in the directions. ????
Hi Sara, My apology! I removed the crab from the instruction because I got crab meat in my head when I was writing the recipe. But this specific recipe is plain cheese. Thanks for pointing it out.
